On July 1, 2018, so in less than three months, amalgam fillings for children, pregnant women and breastfeeding women will be banned under the new mercury directive of the European Union in the whole European Union. In Germany, this will be discussed on 23.04.2018 in Berlin at the second "round table for mercury-free dentistry". The responsible members of the German Bundestag are the CDU, SPD and Die Grünen.
